I am the owner of the allergy-free, sugar-free and gluten-free bakery Sweet Debbie’s Organic Cupcakes in Los Angeles. I initially started my bakery in response to the growing need in America to eliminate refined sugar and incorporate organic ingredients into our diets but still enjoy a delicious dessert. Then I found out my son had severe and life-threatening food allergies to dairy, eggs, nuts and seeds so I decided to also make it free from the top 8 allergens. My business increased geometrically. It turns out there are a lot of people who need their food to be allergy-free, sugar-free and gluten-free and I’m so happy I can provide healthful and scrumptious treats for children and adults alike who otherwise would not be able to partake.
